7.4 Controlling animation with curves

If you take a close look at the animation created in section 7.2, notice

that it's not linear. The object gains speed in the beginning and slows

down by the end of each period of animation. That type of motion for

animations has the name of easing.

Any interpolation animation created in Blender uses easing for motion

regardless of the property. To view and edit that type of animation data,

we can use the Graph Editor, which shows a visual representation of all

motion as curves (Figure 7.16).

Change the Timeline Editor in the interface to a Graph Editor, using the

Editor Type selector.

There you will see a lot more information about animations than what is

available at the Timeline. For instance, you will be able to see individual

animation channels on the left. Some controls to lock animations

(padlock icon) and hide curves from the editor (checkbox icon).
